The Chief Minister Kovid-19 Yoddha Kalyan Yojana (Mukhya Mantri Covid-19 Yoddha Kalyan) is implemented by the Madhya Pradesh government for the welfare of the personnel serving as warriors for the prevention of Kovid-19 epidemic in the state.

The state government has re-implemented the ‘Chief Minister Kovid-19 Yoddha Kalyan Yojana’ for the period from April 1, 2021 to May 31, 2021. Earlier this scheme was till October 31, 2020.

Mukhya Mantri Covid-19 Yoddha Kalyan- Purpose

This scheme is being implemented for the welfare of Kovid-19 warriors who are rendering their service to the Madhya Pradesh State Kovid-19 affected patients.

Eligible personnel

  1. Public Health and Family Welfare Department, Medical Education Department and AYUSH Department all sanitation workers, wardby, nurses, ASHA workers, paramedics, technician doctors and specialists and other health workers.
  2. All the sanitation workers of the Urban Administration Department.
  3. Personnel of Home Department, Revenue Department, Urban Administration Department, Urban Local Bodies and other departments including those authorized by the Competent Authority of the State Government to render their services for the COVID-19 pandemic.
  4. The purpose of inclusion in this scheme is to include employees of State Government Departments or its Board/Corporation/Authority/Agency/Companies etc. Permanent / Contract / Daily wage / Ad-hoc outsource / Community health workers etc.
  5. Under the Pradhan Mantri Garib Kalyan Package Insurance Scheme, except the health workers insured, all other health workers will be eligible for this scheme.

Coverage under the plan

1 Loss of life due to Kovid-19 and
2 Accidental death due to accident in service related to COVID-19

Maximum financial coverage

1 Under this scheme, to their claimant for the welfare of the eligible workers. 50 lakh rupees will be paid

No expenditure of any kind shall be paid or payable to the employee or his claimant during the quarantine period or for the treatment of Kovid-19 warriors.

Capable officer

The District Collector in respect of any claim falling within his/her district jurisdiction shall be the competent authority .

Claim submission process

  1. The claimant has to fill the claim form along with the required documents and submit it to the concerned department.
  2. The concerned office will give the necessary certificate in this regard and forward it to the competent authority i.e. Collector.
  3. The Competent Officer (Collector) will process the claim, issue acceptance, prepare the bill and deposit the bill in the District Treasury for release of the claim amount. The amount will be released by the treasury in the account of the person concerned.
  4. Spouse (as the case may be) will be the first entitled in order of eligibility for medicine amount. Equal amount if there is more than one legal children (except married daughter), widow / abandoned daughter / widowed daughter-in-law (if she is wholly dependent) parents, siblings (if she is wholly dependent) will be eligible for the claim amount sequentially.

The following documents will be required

  1. Claim form duly filled and signed by the nominee / claimant
  2. Identity certificate of the deceased (attested copy)
  3. Identity proof of claimant (attested copy)
  4. Certificate of relationship between the deceased and the claimant (attested copy)
  5. Laboratory report certifying that the test for COVID-19 (original or certified copy) had positive results
  6. Death Summary issued by the hospital where the death took place (attested copy)
  7. Death Certificate (in original)
  8. Canceled check (in desired original)
  9. Certificate issued by the concerned office certifying that the deceased was an employee of the same office and was working for the prevention of Kovid-19
